BioStim® Electrodes

Our BioStim® Pigtailed Electrodes are latex-free, cloth covered, carbon layered, pre-gelled, reusable electrodes. These electrodes are made with the highest clinical standards for repeat applications for up to two weeks or more. There are no additional gels or sprays needed to apply these electrodes to begin your therapy.

Using Electrodes:

  • Clean and dry skin at application site.
  • Open electrode pouch.
  • Attach lead wires to the electrodes.
  • Peel electrode away from release sheet. Save release sheet for later storage.
  • Place electrodes as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. 
  • Attach lead wires to your electrotherapy device and begin your therapy.

SPECIALIZED ELECTRODE APPLICATIONS

All electrodes work by sending electrical currents through your skin affecting your nerves or muscles for pain management, muscle related issues, or perhaps wound healing. However, there are times when a specific electrode is needed for a specific application. 

EERC200M – 2″x2″ square
EERD200M – 2″ round
EERC200400M – 2″x4″ rectangle
These electrodes are general purpose electrodes and can be used almost anywhere.

EERC400700 – 4″x7″ rectangle
Is typically used as a dispersive electrode when used in conjunction with a High Volt Pulsed Stimulator for wound healing with our GV350® HVPS device.

EBTR400600M – 4″x6″ butterfly
Butterfly electrodes have two 4”x 2.5” contact points on a single cloth backed electrode. This configuration has the ability to apply two electrodes in a single application when compared to applying two single electrodes one at a time.

L00035 – 1.5″x1.75″ carbon
Carbon electrodes are not as pliable as our cloth backed electrodes but much more durable and are typically used in a clinical setting. The term “Carbon Electrodes” refers to the material underneath the adhesive hydrogel . These electrodes have a white silicon “cover” over the black carbon. Impedance current through the skin is much lower than traditional electrodes, making the electric stimulation twice as comfortable thus generating a better result for pain and muscle management. When the adhesive quality is gone, additional adhesive mounts (item #L00036) can be ordered.
